Welcome, and thanks for choosing to build your library readership through the Indie Author Project (IAP). What started out as a partnership with Library Journal on the SELF-e program turned into a publishing community that includes multiple curation partners, all built to help libraries find the best indie books and share them with their patrons.
After submitting to IAP, your book can be shared with patrons of participating libraries across your region. If your book is selected by our curation partners, it will also be available alongside other great indie reads in participating libraries across the U.S. and Canada.
.
This service is free for all authors, no matter how you have chosen to indie publish. The submission process takes about 5 minutes, and you are welcome to submit as many of your books as you would like. Before you submit, please make sure that your book is:
An ePUB (strongly recommended) or PDF file
In the English language
An original work to which you own the rights
All submissions are reviewed for inclusion in your regional collection. Books for all age groups and across all genres are welcome, provided they meet the submission guidelines.
Eligible titles are also considered for IAP Select, our curated collection available to participating libraries across the U.S. and Canada. Nonfiction and poetry are not eligible for IAP Select, but may still be included in your regional collection. If your book is selected for IAP Select, you will be notified by email within 4–6 weeks.
You can find more information on how the process works here.
